Hello and welcome! My name is Darona Perry and like my initials, I am the definition of Determination and Passion. Thanks to my wonderful husband and our children, they are among a couple of the reasons why I’ve never worried about being the best because I strive every day to be better than I was yesterday. My passion for photography is something that has grown deep within me.

I’m an on location photographer indoors and outdoors, located in Cedar Rapids but travels to surrounding Quad City areas. My mission is to capture a dream and turn it into a reality with my creative vision. I specialize in portraits, graphic designing, and web designing. I'm a firm believer. I believe in people, I see potential in everyone and everything I'm surrounded by. My brand is all self-taught, this is passion. I live for that one special moment. The thrill to turn a vision into an experience is the ultimate rush for me.

Passion, potential, and patience. These are the three things that motivate me to be the difference in your life, other than my sense of humor! If I had to describe my style in one word I'd say BOLD. I'm not a big fan of the predictable and mundane things in life and that's why I like to celebrate with splashes of colors and patterns throughout my work. I don't care about the "what goes" when being your true self can be way more fun! Through my creativity and magical powers I will help encourage, uplift, and capture the moments that matter to you the most. It's my duty to make everyone feel special and beautiful in their own way, and I hope you will appreciate me for that!

• I was born and raised an Army Brat. My father served over 20+ years. Home of the free because he was one of the Braves.

• I've lived in Germany for 10years and at one point fluent in German. If you don't use it, you truly do lose it.

• I gave birth to three holiday babies. (July 4th, Rainbow Baby Day, and Valentine's Day)

• My favorite color is Orange. My second favorite color is Royal Blue.

• I'm huge on organization, my work space is always filled with planners, to do lists, and sticky notes. LOTS of sticky notes.

• I'm a Social Worker for Children and Adults.

• I love to play, watch, and coach basketball. (I learned how to play street-ball before I learned how to play organized ball)

• I coach youth basketball and care about developing kids beyond the game, confidence, discipline, communication, and accountability matter to me just as much as skill.

• Family is important to me, and saying I love you before I get off the phone with loved ones is a must.

• I'm terrified of insects.

• I'm allergic to cats and dogs.

• I am a proud member of the Greek organization Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated (SPR 2016 - Deuce C2ub)

• My birthday is in March. (I'm pretty sure I'm a mermaid)

• I'm deeply community-driven. Whether it’s coaching basketball, supporting mental health awareness, or organizing nonprofit/community events, my work usually has purpose attached to it.
